summertime fun

We have been having so much fun this summer! I love being off work and staying home to watch the kids. Especially now that Kira is happier, it makes going out a lot easier. Here are a few pictures from our latest adventures.

3 months

Kira is 3 months old now. It is definitely becoming easier to go places with both kids since Kira is doing so much better riding in the car. (no more crying - yeah!) She is smiling and cooing a lot more. It is so cute to hear her go on and on. She loves to look at herself in the mirror and gives herself a big smile. She likes playing on her playmat and watching the light up star. She is sleeping really well at night only waking up once to eat and then goes right back to sleep. She still sleeps in the snuggle nest inside the bassinet. Although she is probably getting a little big for the snuggle nest so we will have to move her into the crib soon. My little baby is growing so big already. I've already had to put away all the newborn and 0-3 month clothes, some of which she never even got to wear!

4th of July

Everyone came over to our house this weekend to celebrate 4th of July. We don't usually have many overnight guests, so it is always fun when people come to stay. Sherry, Miles, Christina and all the kids stayed over. Bodhi loved having all his cousins over to play. Kira had her first trip to the beach. Of course I was a little bit crazy about her being in the sun too long. I had her under the beach umbrella with a hat and then I covered her with a blanket on the walk back. Like I said, crazy. Later that night a few of us went to see the fireworks. Bodhi was so tired though, we didn't even make it through the entire show.
