bo dee dee

Bodhi has been expanding his vocabulary everyday. He understands quite a bit of what we are saying and can correctly identify lots of images including dogs, cats, flowers, birds, his stuffed animals, books, and shoes. Recently he started saying "wheee" whenever he goes for a ride on his tricycle or truck. And when he is hungry or eating he says "hom" and chomps down. This week, Ray and Bodhi called me at work to tell me that Bodhi said his name. Ray was able to get him to say it two more times over the phone to me. "Bo, Bo dee dee." So cute.

look at me

Bodhi is becoming quite brave and has been climbing up onto the kitchen chairs and standing up on them. He is so proud of himself when he stands up that he smiles and says "aah" (translation: "look at me") Needless to say we have started pushing in all the chairs when we get up from the table. Of course we still forget now and then and that is how I got these pictures.

Lake San Antonio

Mommy and Bodhi looking out over the lake.

This weekend we went on a little vacation! We had three days so we headed up to Lake San Antonio where my parents were camping for the week. Bodhi was really good in the car and slept almost the whole way up and back, which was lucky because it was quite a long drive. Once we got there we settled in and went for a walk. It's really amazing up there because there is so much wildlife. Bodhi got to see deer, blue jays, woodpeckers, rabbits, cows and wild turkeys!

"Grandma, you're so funny!"

That night we relaxed in the RV, ate dinner and watched a movie. Bodhi liked playing with his grandparents and did lots of exploring, inside and outside.

"Hoist the mainsail and keel those lanyards, ye lubbers!"

The next day we got up and had a great breakfast then went on a long boat ride around the lake. We were there on an off-day so if felt like we were the only people out on the water. It was very nice and relaxing. It took, probably, 2 hours or so to go all the way around and we stopped a couple times to get out and explore the shore. Bodhi loved the boat and the water. At one point, when we got out on shore, Bodhi wanted to get into the water. Then, of course, he decided to sit down so he could play with it better.

"Ahh, so refreshing!"

Needless to say, Bodhi was exhausted after such a long day. So he sat down in his easy chair and waited for dinner to be made. Ahhh, what a life! Thanks grandma and grandpa for such a nice vacation, we all had a great time.

"Time now for a nice sit"
